The living room faces the bay and the windows have large translucent sun-screened shades to soften the intense sunlight. The handsome arches along one wall were built to hide the structure and thereby shape an awkward space into a gracious, comfortable living room. The size of the room allowed me to furnish it with two distinct conversation areas. The chandelier was installed over one area, and a large rug ties all the furniture together.
